Redevelopment plans are moving forward for the King Building, located at 2534 S. Kinnickinnic Ave., in Bay View.

The redeveloped building will feature about 6,000 square feet of retail space, divided between two available spaces – one measured at around 2,400 square feet, the other at approximately 3,600 square feet – or can be combined. 

The project also includes five live/work units on the ground floor and another nine one- and two-bedroom apartments in a new second story addition. The basement will include tenant storage and 16 parking spots.

The redevelopment process is expected to be completed in early 2016.
