Lakefront Brewery, 1872 N. Commerce St., kicks off a new summer patio music series called Current Sounds this weekend with Social Cig performing Saturday from 2 until 4 p.m.
The free music takes place on the large, multi-level, riverfront patio at the craft brewery and beer hall.
“There is a wide variety of eclectic musicians that we’re lucky to have,” says Sean Anderson, local musician and Lakefront Brewery tour guide who books music at the brewery.
“It was fun to offer such a serene and special spot for the artists to get creative and in some cases, push the boundaries of the shows they’re used to playing.”
Performances take place every Saturday afternoon, 2-4 p.m., through Aug. 30, with two specials Sunday performances on Memorial and Labor Day weekends.
