Ironic that a movie about going back and forth in existence would go back and forth in streaming existence so much – but that's exactly the situation for the "Back to the Future" franchise, which, according to the latest Netflix announcement of departures, will leave the service next month.

But wait, wasn't it just added this very month? And wasn't it just removed back in December? After it had just been added right before then? And then that whole back and forth happened again during the summer last year? Yes! The answer is somehow yes to all of that. The entertainment streaming future: It's the best!

Speaking of disappointing news, if you thought the Big Red Streaming Monolith was out of beloved TV shows to lose, you'd be unfortunately wrong as NBC's beautifully brutal "Hannibal" adaptation, the surreal "Twin Peaks" and the essential sci-fi/horror anthology "Twilight Zone" will all depart in June.

And that's just on the television side of things as the excellent Oscar-nominated dramas "20th Century Women" and "Training Day" will take their wares elsewhere after June, along with old-school classics "Bonnie & Clyde," "Enter the Dragon," "Fiddler on the Roof" and "Scarface." It's not like Netflix had many movies made prior to 1985 in the first place, and now with these June departures, that number's basically getting halved. Here's to them replacing these retro icons with some new ones next month (but probably not).

Anyways, here's the full list of movies and TV shows leaving Netflix in June.

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.

When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
