According to a liquor license application, Love's On Tap will open at 201 W. Mitchell St., formerly Bamboo Lounge, on May 1. The story was first reported by BizTimes.

Love’s on Tap plans to offer a full bar, small food menu and entertainment including DJs, dancing and karaoke.

The business is listed under the name Elizabeth Torres and, according to BizTimes, she will operate the business with her fiancé, Monte Love.

The 130-year-old building is also the former home of the Zodiac Lounge, which was Milwaukee's first non-smoking bar, opened in 2003, seven years before the smoking ban took effect.
