Lucky Joe’s Tiki Room in Walker's Point was named by Food & Wine as one of the five best tiki bars in the United States.

Three Dots & A Dash in Chicago, Smuggler’s Cove in San Francisco, Washington D.C.’s Hugo and Saint House in Tucson also got accolades.

I have spent many a night under the indoor thatched roof enjoying a kitschy rum cocktail or two in vessels shaped like sharks or waving Chinese cats.

I’m also a big fan of Foundation, Milwaukee’s first tiki bar in Riverwest, and it’s great to have another tropical gem on the other side of town.

Well deserved, Lucky Joe’s.
