Severe storms battered much of Southeast Wisconsin Wednesday night and had their way with things at Miller Park, too, as the Brewers hosted the Mets.
The roof, which was closed early in the afternoon and then opened during batting practice, closed just before the start of play. It opened again around the fourth inning, though not entirely – call it the "opposite Ryan Braun-approved" configuration.
By the bottom of the sixth, the roof was again closed as storms moved into the area.
Then, in the eighth – right as Kameron Loe started melting down – the scoreboard went out, and an area in front of the press box cleared out as a steady stream of water fell from the roof.
All in all, it's been a weird night here at the ballpark.
