National Beer Day was just a week and a half ago, but that was just a small thimble of hoppy fun, as Milwaukee Beer Week is currently on tap with foamy festivities pouring across several restaurants and bars throughout the city now through April 21.

The week-long celebration features local and national tastings, tappings, pairings, collaborations and better-than-usual excuses to drink some good beer with great people around the city.

To keep up with Milwaukee Beer Week's full keg of activities, follow the festival on Facebook, Twitter, its official website or through its official app, which includes real-time event updates, check-ins and confirmations, as well as the full list mapped out by date, location or brewery and other helpful features to make the most out of your Milwaukee Beer Week. But to help get your hops on, here is a quick sip of some of the standout sudsy celebrations coming to Brew City the rest of the week!

Tuesday, April 17

MKE Brewing 4th Base Tailgate: 4th Base Restaurant, 3-7 p.m.

The Brewers will play the Cincinnati Reds Tuesday night, but the best tailgate in town won't be at Miller Park but at 4th Base, where $20 will snag you a tailgate dinner, a free MKE Brewing Co. beer, a MKE Brewing Co. t-shirt and a pint glass to take home after hopefully a Brewers win.

Third Space Dinner at Wy'east: Wy'east, 4-10 p.m.

Why just drink beer when you can eat what went into it too! Third Space and Wy'east Pizza have teamed up for a special never-before-seen menu, featuring specialty dishes that use spent grain and wort from the brewery.

Vintage Anniversary Party: Vintage, 4:20-8:05 p.m.

It's Vintage's anniversary down on the East Side – and what better way to celebrate one's anniversary than with the tapping of an exceptionally rare beer: Waldos' Special Ale, the rarest one Lagunitas has to offer.

Matt Mueller Culture Editor

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.

When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
