It's been 10 years since Melissa Thornton Kuykendall introduced her MilwaukeeHome design/brand to Brew City. In 2018, Kuykendall sold the brand to Steph Davies, owner of The Waxwing, who later sold it to Harleys Co., 244 N. Water St., at the end of January 2020.

And in honor of the anniversary, Kuykendall and Jeff Brand, COO of the Harleys Co./MilwaukeeHome, teamed up to celebrate with a limited-edition apparel.

"Melissa reached out to us this month on Instagram to let us know that this February marks the 10 year anniversary of when the brand was born. I immediately knew it would be fun to work with Melissa to design a shirt to celebrate the milestone," says Brand.

The new MilwaukeeHome design includes the date under the logo commemorating the year MilwaukeeHome was established.

"Melissa also told us that a special foil printing technique was one of her favorites. So, We used the foil printing technique on these limited edition shirts," says Brand.

Redwall, where Kuykendall is now employed, printed the shirts.

The shirts are black with a gold or silver foil deco and cost $35. They are exclusively available for purchase on the website mkehome.com.

Harleys Co. offers free in store pick-up or will ship for $5 per order.

"MilwaukeeHome brand is a great way for residents both old and new to show their hometown pride. We get lots of people buying items for people new to the city to welcome them as well as those who moved away that want to take that little reminder of Milwaukee with them," says Brand.
