MilwaukeeHome, local retailer of clothing, gifts and home goods, opened today in its new location, 907 W. National Ave. The original shop in the Third Ward will operate simultaneously for about a month.

Owner Steph Davies – also the proprietor of The Waxwing – moved into the building, a former hotel, in January. A few other local businesses will soon join MilwaukeeHome on the ground floor.

MilwaukeeHome will celebrate with a grand opening party on Saturday, March 16 from 5 to 8 p.m. Live music by Orange Drink, food, refreshments, local art vendors, tintype photography by Margaret Muza and free swag are all in the plans for the evening. Check out the Facebook invite here.

Davies purchased the business last year from founder Melissa Thornton.

MilwaukeeHome is open seven days a week.
