The only thing scarier than the Halloween costumes you saw out partying last night is the hangover you woke up with this morning. Your skull feels like somebody replaced your brain with a running jackhammer and then used your head as a boxing speedbag.
And what's the perfect cure for that feeling? No, it's not watching the Packers potentially get pummeled by the very good Los Angeles Rams. In fact, that just might make it feel worse. And it's not chicken soup, Gatorade and sleep. Phooey to those cures! No, it's checking out some movies at the 2018 Milwaukee Film Festival! (And an Advil.)
Four out of five doctors agree that I have no idea what I'm talking about when it comes to health advice – but I do know what I'm talking about when it comes to movie recommendations. So here are your three (actually four, because you deserve it – and also because I was late with the Facebook Live today. Oops!) to see for Day 11 of the film festival.
Here's where and when you can find Matt's three four to see for Day 11 of the Milwaukee Film Festival.
- "Cold War" will screen at 1 p.m. at the Oriental Theatre (If you're sad you might miss this, don't worry; I'd be willing to bet that it'll return to Milwaukee around awards season. But never hurts to see it now while you can!)
- "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?" will screen at 4:30 p.m. at the Oriental Theatre
- "Borg vs. McEnroe" will screen at 6:30 p.m. at the Oriental Theatre
- "Ideal Home" will screen at 9:30 p.m. at the Times Cinema
As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.
When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
