Get ready to kickstart your Big Gig plans as Summerfest announced that retro rockers Mötley Crüe will headline the Amp on Friday, June 21.
The "Home Sweet Home" and "Girls, Girls, Girls" hard rockers last played Summerfest on the Fourth of July a decade ago when they brought their final tour to the Amp. Sorry, "final tour" – as the band would be back in Brew City a little more than a year later for a second "Final Tour" stop, this time at the BMO Harris Bradley Center. And then back just a few years after that, hitting American Family Field last year as a part of their "The Stadium Tour" alongside the likes of Def Leppard, Poison and Joan Jett & The Blackhearts. This time around, they'll be bringing Summerfest mainstays Seether and Buckcherry along for the ride as well.
Tickets for Mötley Crüe's headliner set will go on sale beginning Friday, Nov. 3 at noon at Summerfest's website and Ticketmaster, as well as in person at the Summerfest box office.
Mötley Crüe joins country artists Kane Brown and Tyler Childers as the Big Gig's announced headliners for 2024 thus far. Obviously there are many more names to come – so stay tuned to OnMilwaukee for more announcements and updates as they come.
As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.
When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
