It's the season for giving – but tell that to Netflix, which today announced which movies and television shows will be taken off the Big Red Streaming Monolith next month.
Your hopes of watching "Groundhog Day" over and over and over again will come to an end starting on the first of December, as well as fellow classics like "The Game" and "Hellraiser." And prepare one final ride with the bikers of "Sons of Anarchy," as the FX hit show will rev off into the sunset.
The Disney purge will continue with "Moana" ("You're Welcome"? More like no thank you!) and "Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl" – on Christmas Day in the case of the latter. You streaming Scrooges! And Oscar winners and nominees will both fail to see 2019 on Netflix as "Spotlight" and "Tinker Trailor Soldier Spy" will get the holiday-scented axe.
For a completely different kind of movie with "Tinker" in the title, "Tinker Bell" and its two sequels will bail from the streaming service, as well as five "Air Bud" sequels – which, in fairness, is about five sequels more than I knew existed.

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.
When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
