In case you weren't already in the Thanksgiving mood (for those who are confused, Thanksgiving is a once-popular holiday that takes place late in the year during the three months of Christmas), Netflix recently announced its list of movies and TV shows getting nixed in November – and the list is thankfully short.

Of course, that doesn't mean there aren't some gems next month doing their best impression of the Thanksgiving turkey and getting the axe. Dinosaurs both dangerous ("Jurassic Park") and adorable ("The Land Before Time") will go the way of the dinosaur, and while the Netflix gods giveth you a Guillermo del Toro movie, they taketh a Guillermo del Toro movie away – in this case, "Hellboy II." Oscar favorites "Amelie," "The Reader" and "Up in the Air" will take their final bows, while I hope you watch Mike Flanagan's A-grade haunted mirror movie "Oculus" for Halloween, because it'll be gone the very next day.

And because this is 2018, and joy is not allowed to exist, "Paddington" will no longer be on Netflix too. Please watch "Paddington." It's the nicest, kindest movie of all time, and it might just be the key to world peace.

Here's the rest of the movies and TV shows leaving Netflix in November.

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.

When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
