Sure, the Big Red Streaming Monolith is losing a bunch of good stuff in October – but you've got nothing to fear if you're a Netflix subscriber (at least for the next month) because the impending list of new arrivals is filled with more treats than tricks.
The Netflix Originals en route are, as usual, very eye-catching – especially with a new macabre animated adventure from "Nightmare Before Christmas" and "Coraline" creator Henry Selick, teaming up with Jordan Peele and Keegan-Michael Key. In honor of spooky season, there's also a new horror anthology from Guillermo Del Toro, a fresh Stephen King adaptation and a new supply of "Unsolved Mysteries." And as for very solved mysteries, there's even more Jeffrey Dahmer content coming too. For a very different kind of terror, there's also a new season of everyone's favorite dread-inducingly messy dating show "Love is Blind" as well as a new batch of the horrors of puberty with "Big Mouth" and the horrors of bad baking with "Nailed It!"
In addition to all of that, though, the outside supply of content coming to Netflix is actually quite impressive as well. Two of the most insanely entertaining movies ever made – the "Ocean's 11" remake and "Point Break" (not the remake) – will swindle their way onto the Big Red Streaming Monolith in October, along with the cult classic "Labyrinth," a plethora of killer comedies ("City Slickers," "National Lampoon's Vacation," "I Love You, Man") and awards favorites ("Call Me By Your Name," "Gladiator," "The Color Purple").
It's a sweet slate of content that's definitely not simply fun sized – and that's just a few of the films and TV shows on the list. Here's the full lineup of what's coming to Netflix in October:
