Would you be tempted to train for a 5K run if you were promised a cream puff at the end of the race? If so, you might be a fit for the brand new Cream Puff 5K.

On Wednesday, July 20, at 6:30 p.m., the Wisconsin State Fair Park Foundation will host the first-ever Cream Puff 5K run/walk at Wisconsin State Fair Park in West Allis.

The race, which will reward participants with the very first Original Cream Puffs of the year along with post-race beverages, (including water, soda or Michelob Ultra) and free live music, will also reward registered participants with one free ticket to the 2016 Wisconsin State Fair, an original Cream Puff 5K T-shirt and a finisher’s ribbon.

The 5K course will include the famous Milwaukee Mile Speedway as well as streets within State Fair Park. Both strollers and children are welcome, and there will be a 1K option for those who prefer a shorter route. Results, including timing, will be provided by PT Timing.

Milwaukee Airwaves will offer entertainment prior to the race and a post-race party will take place as part of the Wednesday Night Live series at the Budweiser Pavilion, featuring music from The LoveMonkeys.

Registration is $30 for adults and $15 for children 12 and under through June 26, with adult pricing increasing on June 27. For more information or to register, visit creampuff5k.com.
