Minneapolis chef Scott Pampuch, founder of the Twin Cities' Corner Table restaurant, has been hired to head food and beverage operations at The Iron Horse Hotel.
The award-winning chef will consult on all operations for the hotel, including Smyth, Branded and The Yard, and nearby Stack'd Burger Bar in Walker's Point.
Pampuch is well known as a sustainable food advocate. He has contributed to Minnesota Public Radio, national culinary events and syndicated television, most recently on Ovation's "In Search of Food." In a recent episode, Pampuch cooked for musician – and avocado farmer – Jason Mraz.
"I love the James Beard quote, ‘I don't like gourmet cooking or 'this' cooking or 'that' cooking. I like good cooking’," said Pampuch.
"Milwaukee is exploding on the sustainability scene, with inventive and flourishing operations like Sweet Water Organics and Growing Power’s Will Allen as a national leader on agriculture and food policy. I’m excited to tap into these resources and continue to push the envelope on creative cuisine already happening at The Iron Horse Hotel."
He begins work at The Iron Horse July 1.
