Plume, the neighborhood vintage shop at 3001 S. Kinnickinnic Ave. will be hosting its Third Annual The Fly Away curated vintage market in collaboration with The Milwaukee Public Market.
The free market will be held at Riverwalk Commons, 423 N. Water St. on Saturday, June 7, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Fly Away will showcase 20 top-tier, hand-selected women’s and men’s vintage clothing, home and art vendors hailing from Milwaukee; Minneapolis, Minnesota; Chicago, Illinois and Kalamazoo, Michigan.
In addition to great shopping, the market will feature DJ Asher Gray and friends spinning electronica; tarot readings from Temple of Heka; tintype photography by Margaret Muza and a variety of other special guests.
Seasonal themed cocktails and other drinks will be available from the Milwaukee Public Market’s shipping container bar and attendees can explore the wide variety of food options from the Market, located just across the street.
“We’re 'killing two birds with one stone',” says Plume owner, Maggie Solveson. “We get to share our love for vintage and summer fun with Milwaukee at an incredible venue right on the river, while introducing attendees to small businesses they may have otherwise never heard of.
"We’re proud to have been hosting events with esteemed local brands for the past seven years, but sharing it with the Milwaukee Public Market at Riverwalk Commons allows us to spread our wings further.”
