Follow the rainbows this week Downtown, and no, you won't find a pot of gold at the end of them – but you will find the return of Rainbow Summer, celebrating music, art and more at the Marcus Center grounds beginning Tuesday, July 23. 

Running through Saturday, July 27, the free outdoor five-day Downtown arts and entertainment festival – a part of Marcus Center history, going back to the '70s, reinvigorated in recent years with live music and eye-catching artworks – will showcase the art installation "Elysian Arcs." Created by Atelier Sisu, the "Elysian Arcs" centerpiece features five colorful and glowing inflatable rainbows, each standing more than 20 feet high on the Marcus Center outdoor lawn space.

While the gigantic rainbows may be the centerpiece of this year's Rainbow Summer, they are by no means the only thing to see and hear at the outdoor summer festival. The Downtown gathering will also feature nightly musical showcases, hitting the stage at 7 p.m. during the week as well as 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Here's the lineup of musically diverse headliners coming to Rainbow Summer this week:

• Tuesday, July 23 – LowDown Brass Band
• Wednesday, July 24 – Robert Randolph Band (in collaboration with Culture x Design)
• Thursday, July 25 – Radio Free Honduras
• Friday, July 26 – BritBeat
• Saturday, July 27 – Mucca Pazza

In addition to these headlining acts, Rainbow Summer will feature entertainment throughout each day – including vendor marketplaces on Wednesday (in collaboration with Culture x Design) and Thursday (with Mercadera Market), bubble playtime with Michelle Hackett from 5:30-7:30 p.m., food trucks and beverages available starting at 4:30 p.m. and a fittingly rainbow-colored piano open for visitors to make their own music during the day. The final day of Rainbow Summer will also serve as Family Day, offering specifically family-centric activities from 3-6 p.m. on Saturday before the fest's last headlining act.
