Notice something different when you logged on to OnMilwaukee.com this morning? You're not imaging things, and yes, you're at the right site. Yesterday, we launched the latest version of OMC, and we're sure - once you get to know it - you're gonna love it.

What's different? First, you probably noticed the larger photos on every page. For years, we've wondered how we can best use photography to compliment our already great content. We think this will bridge the gap.

Also, we've incorporated some customization with the introduction of MyOMC. Look on the bottom right of every section home page for the opportunity to pick and choose what you see on the site every day. Currently, we offer horoscopes, lottery numbers, This Day In Milwaukee History, RSS headlines from The Business Journal and more. We'll continue to expand this section, too. Give it a whirl - just use the Member ID and password you already have on file from your newsletter subscriptions (Weekend Preview, OMC Daily Digest, etc.) or create a new one. It's free and just takes a moment.

You'll also notice this newest version of the site is a lot less cluttered, and therefore, not everything you're used to is still packed into the OMC homepage. That's because we want you to explore the site and see how each section has unique content. The most current info is still on the site, including a brand new "ticker" with scoops and other up-to-the-minute info.

There are hundreds of other changes, too, and I'll be honest: we're still working out some of the kinks. We've really burned the midnight oil these last few weeks, but we've been developing this redesign for months. But if there's one thing I've learned over the last seven years, it's that a redesign is never really complete. Eventually, you have to "flip the switch" and make it live ... and fix the little bugs after launch.

Thanks to all of the OMC team who put in extremely long hours to make the site re-launch happen. Some of you have spent more time at our office than at home, and the results show.

Look for more great innovations this fall at OnMilwaukee.com, and please let us know what you think of the redesign -- your opinions matter! This is just the beginning; the best is yet to come.
