Milwaukee Public Schools' Riverside University High School students and faculty are donating $60,000 to Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity today at the school's "Swing into Spring" concert.

For the past 12 years, students at Riverside High School, 1615 E. Locust St., have raised money to fund and sponsor the building of a Habitat home for a low-income Milwaukee family.

The annual "Box City" fundraiser, held each spring, challenges students to sleep outdoors for a night to raise not only the Habitat funds but also awareness of the need for affordable housing in the city.

This year's money will go toward the construction of two new Habitat homes being built this July. This Habitat is building 40 new homes in Milwaukee's Washington Park, Park West and the Harambee neighborhoods.
