Milwaukee concert venue Shank Hall recently announced the lineup of special shows to celebrate its 25th anniversary this November.

The official anniversary show will take place Saturday, Nov. 8, with Semi Twang headlining and The Mike Benign Compulsion opening up the evening. Both are sentimental acts: Semi Twang, led by Milwaukee music mainstay John Sieger, helped open the club up on Shank Hall's first weekend in November 1989 and reunited back in 2009 to celebrate for the venue's 20th anniversary.

The show starts at 8 p.m., with tickets costing $10.

The rest of the anniversary weekend is filled with special acts as well, beginning Thursday, Nov. 6, with Christopher's Project – old friends of the establishment from the '90s – performing a free show at 8 p.m. The next day – Friday, Nov. 7 – Tommy Castro, a longtime favorite of Shank Hall, will play a $20 show starting at 8 p.m.

If one can't make it out that weekend, Shank Hall will celebrating its 25th anniversary throughout the entire month, with special shows lined up with Animation (a tribute to Rush), Substitute (a tribute to The Who), James McMurtry, Tina and the B-Sides, GB Leighton, Steely Dan tribute band Steely Dane, Think Floyd USA, Man With a Camera and many more to be announced as November gets closer.

Advance tickets for certain show are available at Shank Hall, online at Ticketweb.com or by phone at (866) 468-3401.
