Snuggle up with some holiday cheer as OnMilwaukee shares stories of everything merry and bright in the spirit of the season.
The OnMilwaukee Ho Ho Holiday Guide is brought to you by Educators Credit Union, Harley-Davidson Museum and MolsonCoors.
Looking for a fun way to spend the Saturday after Thanksgiving? Head to South Milwaukee where 15+ local shops have gotten together to host the South Milwaukee Small Shop World Tour, a themed shopping adventure for folks of all ages.
Spear-headed by Natalie Gajewski, owner of Omen Subculture Clothing & Accessories, the event will feature over 15 independently owned businesses offering globally themed holiday shopping, discounts and immersive holiday experiences.
“We want people to see how much South Milwaukee has to offer,” says Gajewski. “We have so many great independently owned businesses here and we’re excited to promote them through food, wine tastings, discounts and a whole lot of holiday cheer.”
Pick up your passport
Guests can start their day by picking up a Global Christmas Passport (available at any participating shops). The passport has room for five Passport Stamps, which can be collected from participating businesses. Once the passport is filled, guests can drop their completed passports into one of the designated collection boxes to win the raffle prize at that location.
All completed passports are also eligible for a larger prize package which will be announced after the Shop Small World Tour Event.

Lori is an avid cook whose accrual of condiments and spices is rivaled only by her cookbook collection. Her passion for the culinary industry was birthed while balancing A&W root beer mugs as a teenage carhop, fed by insatiable curiosity and fueled by the people whose stories entwine with each and every dish. She’s had the privilege of chronicling these tales via numerous media, including OnMilwaukee and in her book “Milwaukee Food.” Her work has garnered journalism awards from entities including the Milwaukee Press Club. In 2024, Lori was honored with a "Top 20 Women in Hospitality to Watch" award by the Wisconsin Restaurant Association.
When she’s not eating, photographing food, writing or recording the FoodCrush podcast, you’ll find Lori seeking out adventures with her husband Paul, traveling, cooking, reading, learning, snuggling with her cats and looking for ways to make a difference.
