It may not look or feel much like summer outside right now, but here's something to help brighten things up: The official Summerfest app is now ready and available to download.

Available for free at the Apple and Google Play app stores, the Summerfest app offers updated information on the Big Gig at your fingertips – from day-by-day stage lineups and schedules to maps of the grounds and more.

"More," in this case, means a chance at free Summerfest tickets, as the first 10,000 people who download the app will receive a complimentary admission ticket for a Thursday or Friday Big Gig day. To claim your prize, just hit the menu button in the top left hand corner, then hit the tickets category and book your free ticket (limited one for each device and available while supplies last).

To download the app, visit the Apple or Google Play app stores on your phone. And moving from on-screen action to on-stage action, there are still more awesome acts to be added to the Big Gig's 2022 headliner schedule – so stay tuned to OnMilwaukee for more updates and announcements.

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.

When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
