The Big Gig is almost done revealing its Amp headliners for 2023 – so they're moving on to another stage, announcing its first of nine headlining acts for the BMO Pavilion: The Avett Brothers on Friday, June 23.
The Grammy-nominated folk favorites behind hits like "Head Full of Doubt/Road Full of Promise," "Live or Die," "No Hard Feelings" and "I And Love And You" are no strangers to Brew City, taking the Miller High Life Theater stage just last year. The band also headlined the Amp back in 2015.
Reserved seating tickets for the Avett Brothers' Summerfest show will go on sale beginning Friday, Feb. 24 at 10 a.m. at the Big Gig's website, Ticketmaster and in person at the Summerfest box office. Free first come, first served general admission seating will also be available the day of the concert.
For more information, check out Summerfest's website – and for more Big Gig updates and announcements, stay tuned to OnMilwaukee. After all, there's still eight more BMO Pavilion headliners, two more Amp main acts and dozens of other performers to announce before the festival begins on June 22.
As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.
When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
