Ah, can't you feel summer on its way? (*stares out window into wall of grey slush*) OK, maybe not – but here's something that might help, as Summerfest announced two more BMO Pavilion headliners for its upcoming festival: Ava Max and Styx.
Ava Max, the Milwaukee-born singer behind the recent hit song "Sweet But Psycho," will take the grounds stage on Saturday, July 1. Styx, the iconic '70s and '80s rock band behind sing-along favorites like "Renegade," "Mr. Roboto" and "Come Sail Away," will then hit the BMO Pavilion during the festival's final weekend on Friday, July 7.
Reserved seating tickets for both BMO Pavilion headlining shows will go on sale beginning Friday, March 3, at 10 a.m. at Summerfest's website, Ticketmaster and in person at the Big Gig box office. As with all BMO Pavilion headlining acts during Summerfest, free first come, first served general admission seating will also be available the day of the concert.
Ava Max and Styx join The Avett Brothers and Earth, Wind & Fire as 2023 BMO Pavilion headliners, as well as Imagine Dragons, Dave Matthews Band, ODESZA, Eric Church and more taking the AmFam Amp for this year's Big Gig. And that's just the tip of the iceberg of music coming to the lakefront for three weekends this summer – so stay tuned to OnMilwaukee for more headliner announcements coming up!
As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.
When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
