Today, Summerfest announced a familiar face would be taking the Marcus Amphitheater stage for this summer's Big Gig 50: Zac Brown Band, who will headline the festival on Saturday, July 1.

The show will mark the country rockers' fourth visit to the Big Gig in the past six years, each time – most recently in 2015 – headlining at the Marcus Amp and each time cementing their status as a beloved Summerfest staple. The three-time Grammy-winning band will almost certainly bust out some of their signature hits, as well as some new ones off the group's upcoming new album, "Welcome Home," coming out May 12.

Tickets for the show – as always, complete with Summerfest admission – will go on sale beginning on Friday, Jan. 20 at 10 a.m. Tickets can be purchased in person at the Summerfest box office, Ticketmaster ticket centers and Walmart stores, as well as online at and over the phone either through the Summerfest box office (414-273-2600), through a live Ticketmaster agent (1-800-745-3000) or through Ticketmaster's automated ticket line (1-866-448-7849).

There will also be a presale for fans who subscribe to Summerfest's email updates and alerts, as well as follow the festival on Facebook and Twitter, running on Thursday, Jan. 19 from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. or until the resale inventory is exhausted.

Zac Brown Band is the latest addition to Summerfest's Marcus Amp headliner lineup, which currently also includes Pink, Red Hot Chili Peppers and two nights of Tom Petty. Stay tuned to OnMilwaukee for more headliner announcements and Summerfest updates as the weather gets warmer and the festival inches closer.

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.

When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
