Jeff Lorber, Lao Tizer and Ray Silkman will heat up the stage at the Ninth Annual Historic Third Ward Jazz Festival: Summer Sizzle - August 3-4.  

Contemporary keyboardist Lao Tizer and Chicago saxman Ray Silkman perform at 6:30 and 9 p.m. Friday, August 3, respectively. Grammy-nominated keyboardist Jeff Lorber performs at 9 p.m., Saturday, August 4.

Admission to the festival is free, and it runs from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. each day.   

As in the past, the Downtown neighborhood event takes place on Broadway and includes an outdoor marketplace, food and beverages and other attractions.

A life-long and passionate community leader and Milwaukeean, Jeff Sherman is a co-founder of OnMilwaukee.

He grew up in Wauwatosa and graduated from Marquette University, as a Warrior. He holds an MBA from Cardinal Stritch University, and is the founding president of Young Professionals of Milwaukee (YPM)/Fuel Milwaukee.

He owns a condo in Downtown and lives in greater Milwaukee with his wife Stephanie, his son, Jake, and daughter Pierce. He's a political, music, sports and news junkie and thinks, for what it's worth, that all new movies should be released in theaters, on demand, online and on DVD simultaneously.
