Tavern Tours, sponsored by Miller Brewing Company, invites people to meet at a different Milwaukee tavern for a Wednesday happy hour a few times a year. The outing includes free pizza and beer, but also the chance to dive a little deeper into tavern culture, one that Milwaukee excels at.

The next tour takes place at Gordie's, a family-owned tavern in St. Francis, 2000 E. Cora Ave.,  that's been around since 1973. The fun is set for Wednesday, March 19 from 6 to 8 p.m.

During this event guests will receive:

  • Two free drinks (alcoholic or non-alcoholic)
  • Complimentary pizza from Transfer Pizzeria
  • Tavern Tour swag
  • A behind-the-bar discussion with Kelly Pierce, the daughter of the late Gordon – aka Gordie – Pierce.
  • An intro to bar culture such as dice, pool and more.
  •  Hang out with OnMilwaukee staff, OnMilwaukee readers, bartenders and “regulars.”
