After months of empty stages, the Pabst Theater Group is taking a step toward something resembling normalcy with three live concerts – complete with people in the audience – scheduled for Turner Hall Ballroom in July.

A part of the Pabst Theater Group's #ReviveLiveMKE initiative, the shows will showcase three local performers – bluegrass band Chicken Wire Empire, hip-hop/R&B duo Kaylee Crossfire and Kia Rap Princess, and singer-songwriter Trapper Schoepp – across three Fridays next month: July 10, 17 and 31, respectively.

Each show will be capped at 25 percent capacity – including staff – with health and safety protocols from the state and City of Milwaukee implemented throughout the night. Those guidelines include no entry without wearing a mask (masks will be available for free at the door, as well as PTG-branded options for sale), touch-free temperature checks at the door and social distancing measures for bathroom lines and beverage lines. For more guidelines, visit Pabst Theater Group's website.

For those who still don't feel comfortable going out to a concert amidst the ongoing pandemic, the concerts will come to you as well as the Pabst Theater Group will live-stream each show for free on its YouTube channel, Facebook page and website via JamGrassTV.

Tickets for all three shows – Chicken Wire Empire at 8 p.m. on Friday, July 10; Kaylee Crossfire and Kia Rap Princess at 8 p.m. on Friday, July 17; and Trapper Schoepp (with special guest Bear in the Woods) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, July 31 – are available now. And for more updates on reopenings, stay tuned to OnMilwaukee.

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.

When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
