Winter is nearly upon us; now's the time to find a friend to cozy up to on chilly nights. Look no further than Whiskey -- a giant lap dog with fluffy fur just made for cuddling during the winter. He has been at the shelter for a few weeks and would love to find a home for the holidays.
Whiskey is an exuberant two-year-old Border Collie/Chow Chow mix. He's very smart and has learned commands during his stay at WHS; he is extremely treat-motivated and would be a great student in a manners or tricks class.
You'll be struck by Whiskey's thick coat, strong physique and large frame. Fortunately, he's all teddy bear and will ask for tummy rubs and kisses from just about everyone. He loves life and wants to share his joy with a calm, confident guardian who will provide loving care and positive reinforcement. Whiskey's an active guy and a tremendous amount of fun - just consider his name. (But his favorite cocktail is probably a fresh bowl of tap water "on the rocks.")
The adoption fee for Whiskey and all dogs at the Wisconsin Humane Society, covers spay/neuter surgery, microchip identification, a health exam, initial vaccinations and heartworm tests. Call the Wisconsin Humane Society at (414) ANIMALS or visit the Web site at www.wihumane.org for more information.
