The Women in Travel Summit '17 will be held at the Hilton Milwaukee City Center Hotel from April 21 to 23 in Downtown Milwaukee. WITS is the creation of Wanderful, an international community and online resource for women who travel.
It's a big event for Milwaukee and women travel influencers, creators and brands. Its goal is to provide women travelers with the tools, connections and resources they need to become better travel bloggers and entrepreneurs while growing its global sisterhood of dedicated women who travel.
And, since the summer travel season is upon us, OnMilwaukee is giving away tickets to the event. Click here for your chance. You can also purchase day and weekend tickets and save 20 percent with the promo code "OnMilwaukee20" at this link.
Oneika Raymond, the voice behind Oneika the Traveller, an award-winning travel blog dedicated to inspiring, encouraging and empowering women and people of color to see the world, will serve as one of this year's keynote speakers.
An international educator, writer, serial expat and travel junkie, Oneika's passion for discovery is boundless and her adventures abroad have taken her to over 90 countries on six continents. Oneika has written for and been featured in major publications such as Condé Nast Traveler, the BBC, The Huffington Post, Essence, Ebony, National Geographic Traveler, BuzzFeed and CNN.
Approximately 400 attendees joined WITS ’16 this last March in Irvine, California, with speakers from around the world. WITS ’17 expects an even greater turnout international travel influencers, creators and industry executives this week in Milwaukee.

A life-long and passionate community leader and Milwaukeean, Jeff Sherman is a co-founder of OnMilwaukee.
He grew up in Wauwatosa and graduated from Marquette University, as a Warrior. He holds an MBA from Cardinal Stritch University, and is the founding president of Young Professionals of Milwaukee (YPM)/Fuel Milwaukee.
Early in his career, Sherman was one of youngest members of the Greater Milwaukee Committee, and currently is involved in numerous civic and community groups - including board positions at The Wisconsin Center District, Wisconsin Club and Marcus Center for the Performing Arts. He's honored to have been named to The Business Journal's "30 under 30" and Milwaukee Magazine's "35 under 35" lists.
He owns a condo in Downtown and lives in greater Milwaukee with his wife Stephanie, his son, Jake, and daughter Pierce. He's a political, music, sports and news junkie and thinks, for what it's worth, that all new movies should be released in theaters, on demand, online and on DVD simultaneously.
He also thinks you should read OnMilwaukee each and every day.
