It doesn't matter if the next holiday is Christmas or the 4th of July or St. Paddy's Day, the Y-Not II is ready. Smirking leprechaun cut-outs dangle from the smoked-stained ceiling right next to big red hearts and an Uncle Sam hat adorned with red, white and blue streamers.

"We're prepared for anything and everything," says bartender Casey Elliott, just after she up-sold us a mini liquor bottle of Jameson to side with our High Lifes. "We're very festive here."

There are definitely some extra decorations set out just for the Christmas season. The large, vintage toy solider and Santa statues will get put away eventually – until next December – but other yuletide decorations will stay.

Elliott says customers often ask why the bar is decorated for multiple holidays all year 'round. Her response? "There is only one answer to that question, which is our answer to every question asked here: Y not?"
