Landmark Lanes
A new era of bar games is headed Milwaukee's way, as the past year brought the arrivals of several new arcade bars – from the newly opened Old World Third Street hotspot 1983 to the impending opening of Up-Down in the former Comedy Cafe space. But while video games were the year's big new trend, when it comes to Brew City's favorite bar games, Milwaukee still loves a classic.
For a second straight year, the East Side staple Landmark Lanes once again claimed the crown as the Milwaukee's favorite bar games and trivia. The nonagenarian beer hall has as many gaming options as it's had decades open to the public, with a 16-lane bowling alley, karaoke, pinball, trivia, arcade games and more all ready to soak up your quarters while you soak up some suds.
Steny's came in a close second place, barely 50 votes back of Landmark Lanes, while newcomer 1983 Arcade Bar already double-jumped its way into third place in just its first year – and claimed the high score with the OnMilwaukee staff, as the editors picked the new locale as its favorite for 2018. Milwaukee Ale House and the soon-to-be-relocating 42 Lounge filled out the rest of the category's leaderboard.
