Season's eatings! The weather may be getting colder, but Dining Month on OnMilwaukee is just cooking up, dishing out your winning picks in this year's Best of Dining poll. Dining Month is brought to you by Fein Brothers, your premier food service equipment and supply dealer in Wisconsin since 1929. Congratulations to all of the winners, and happy eating for all those who voted! See all the winners for the month so far here.

Balzac

Back in March, this Brady Street hotspot nabbed the title of best wine list during Bar Month. But this is Dining Month, and now with a whole slate of rival restaurants pouring their best bottles to beat them ... Balzac still won thanks to its book-sized menu of wines by the glass and on tap.

It wasn't an easy path to another victory for its vivacious variety of vino, as less than 20 votes separated Balzac from last year's winner, Pizza Man. Meanwhile, Bacchus – the OnMilwaukee editors' pick – bottled up the bronze medal, and Eddie Martini's and best brunch winner Story Hill BKC finished up the top five.

Runner's up:
2. Pizza Man
3. Bacchus
4. Eddie Martini's
5. Story Hill BKC

OnMilwaukee editor's pick: Bacchus

Lori Fredrich's pick: AP Bar & Kitchen
There are a number of places where I feel as if the wine lists not only sync with my palate, but also challenge me a bit. And one of those places has always been AP Bar & Kitchen, where Justin Anthony has always curated some of the most interesting options in the city. It was a place where options were interesting (and delicious) and yet there was never reason to be the least bit intimidated. After all, the choices were already excellent matches for the food, and the staff (including Anthony) was always willing to answer questions and assist guests in finding wines they’d love. I made my picks long before they announced it would be closing its doors, and I felt strongly enough about it that I’m remaining staid in my accolade. AP might be gone, but it will always have a special place in my wine-loving heart.
