Thomas Evans completed a massive mural on the facade of the Lamplight building on 74th and Greenfield Avenue in West Allis. Evans is a nationally-recognized artist from Colorado who is known as Detour.

The new mural is part of the "West Allis Living Streets" project that will create a corridor of four murals. The City's Artscape Committee sponsored the effort, as reported by Bobby Tanzilo earlier this month.

Evan's mural depicts an African American father and son, with the child propped on the man's shoulders.

"It's done," Evans posted to Facebook. "It's been a hot week."
