Halloween may almost be over, but the scary times are just beginning for Netflix.

Apple TV+ is in the midst of its star-studded debut, Disney+ is days away with an intimidating library of hits old and new at the ready for its launch and HBOMax – yes, ANOTHER streaming service – is just getting geared up for a big-time introduction of its own. Plus, the Big Red Streaming Monolith – which is already more than $12 billion in debt – just announced that it was raising another $2 billion in debt for original content. So if you're looking for frights, look no further than Netflix's front office or stock futures.

If you want to see something even scarier, check out the below list of movies and TV shows bailing from Netflix next month. The streaming service will take down its Halloween decorations very early according to the newly announced departures, as "Scary Movie 2," "Scream" and "The Sixth Sense" – some of the highest profile outside horror classics on the service – will all be gone faster than your jack-o-lanterns, leaving on the first of the month. And speaking of frightening, Pierce Brosnan's singing voice will have to haunt you elsewhere as "Mamma Mia!" will dance off the service in the middle of the month, with coming-of-age Oscar winners "Boyhood" and "Coco" jumping ship shortly after.

Also: I hope you took quickly advantage of watching "300" on Netflix, because  just just two months after being added to the service, it'll already be gone, kicked down a bottomless pit. Madness? THIS! IS! THE STREAMING FUTURE!

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.

When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
