I ain't afraid of no ghosts ... but I am afraid to tell you that the original "Ghostbusters" is toast. 

Netflix today made its monthly announcement of the movies and television shows bailing off the Big Red Entertainment Monolith in September – and unfortunately the '80s classic crossed its streams, life as it knew it stopped instantaneously and every molecule in its body exploded at the speed of light. (Or it's just no longer on this one particular streaming service.)

That's far from the only noteworthy casualty next month, too.

Fellow blockbusters "The Dark Knight," "Batman Begins" and "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest" are all calling it quits on Netflix. Critical darlings like "Moonrise Kingdom," "The Imitation Game," "Man on Wire" and "Before the Devil Knows You're Dead" will say their goodbyes in September as well, along with modern rom-com classics like "13 Going on 30" and "Forgetting Sarah Marshall." And even horror movie fans have something to scream about as Neil Marshall's brilliantly bloody "The Descent" will be killed off.
