It's been more than a year since word hit that Shaker's Cigar Bar would haunt a new Netflix travel show – but finally the results are about to creep onto your TVs and laptops.

The famously freaky Walker's Point mainstay will be one of the featured stops on the new Netflix adventure show "Dark Tourist," premiering on the streaming service Friday, July 20.

The show features host David Farrier – the guy behind the equally bizarre and fascinating tickle-fetish doc "Tickled" – checking out dangerous tourist thrills across the globe, checking out weird stops in Myanmar, Benin, Japan and Colombia, as well as checking into Shaker's right here in Brew City.

And while Shaker's may not be as dangerous as wandering into a war zone or as macabre as casually chilling out with mummified corpses, it's still a fitting selection as just one of the show's two U.S. visits – not only thanks to its history as a supposedly haunted hotspot, but also because of its popular Hangman Tours.

Of particular interest to Farrier and "Dark Tourist" seems to be the bar's Cream City Cannibal Tour, which takes guests on a trip through the life and death of notorious Milwaukee serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer. (You can see what appears to be a quick clip of the Shaker's segment in the trailer starting at the 33-second mark.)

Again, the show premieres tomorrow (in classic Netflix fashion, they've only started letting people know it exists a few days ago), so tune in and take a trip with "Dark Tourist." Maybe if it does well, they'll drop by The Rave for the second season.

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.

When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
