Drummer Victor DeLorenzo says he's excited about this reunion show.

Violent Femmes to reunite for Coachella

Milwaukee's native sons, the Violent Femmes, may not be done quite yet.

The band, which has been broken up since 2009 after infighting and litigation, will reunite for Coachella 2013 on April 13 in Indio, Calif. No word yet if this is a one-off reunion or part of a bigger effort.

"I'm beyond happy to announce that Violent Femmes will be a part of the Coachella 2013 experience!" says Victor DeLorenzo, the Femmes' drummer and remaining Milwaukee resident.

"Being a fan of the group myself, I can't wait to hear the joyful racket once again come roaring out of a massive PA system."

The Violent Femmes' last album was "Freak Magnet" in 2000, but the group still draws an audience when touring.

Says DeLorenzo, who rejoined the group in 2002, "If you can, why not come out to California and join Gordon, Brian and myself, as we once again represent Milwaukee to the world."

"When I say dance, why not?" he says.
