He'll never give you up, let you down, run around, desert you, make you cry, say goodbye or tell a lie and hurt you. But one thing '80s pop star and famous internet prank Rick Astley will do is come to Milwaukee to perform at The Pabst Theater on Thursday, April 26.
The distinctive British voice first hit the big time in 1987 with his smash song, "Never Gonna Give You Up." The pop hit climbed all the way to the top of the worldwide charts, but the song became an even bigger pop culture sensation two decades later when "rickrolling" became a massive internet meme.
Despite his reputation as a one-hit wonder, Astley's done much more than just "Never Gonna Give You Up." Since his debut album, "When You Need Somebody," in 1987, the singer has released six albums – including 2016's "50," which debuted at number one on the United Kingdom music charts.
