The Wisconsin State Fair saw Summerfest announce The Chainsmokers as its latest American Family Insurance Amphitheater headliner earlier this week and raised it three headliner announcements, with the Beach Boys/Temptations, Alan Jackson and Sabrina Carpenter all headed to the Main Stage.

On Aug. 6, two legendary groups – the Beach Boys and the Temptations – will bring their new "Surf & Soul" tour to the State Fair Main Stage. The Rock and Roll Hall of Famers – responsible for countless hits ("Good Vibrations," "I Get Around," "God Only Knows" and many more) and "Pet Sounds," considered by many to one of the greatest albums ever made – played the State Fair just last year.

This time, however, they've got co-headliners The Temptations in tow, complete with Motown favorites like "My Girl" and "Papa Was a Rollin' Stone."

All seating for the show is reserved, and tickets cost $29 and $39.

Later that week, Disney Channel star Sabrina Carpenter will take the stage on Friday, Aug. 11. The 17-year-old has already become a TV star with roles on Disney's "Girl Meets World" and "Milo Murphy's Law," hit the Billboard U.S. pop charts with her current single "Thumbs" and just last year embarked on her first headlining tour.

All seating for the 7 p.m. show is reserved, and tickets cost $25 and $35.

Closing out the 2017 Wisconsin State Fair on Sunday, Aug. 13, will be country legend Alan Jackson, alongside opening act Lee Ann Womack ("I Hope You Dance"). The two-time Grammy winner – who performed just last April at the UWM Panther Arena – has racked up an impressive 35 number one singles and nearly 60 million albums sold worldwide over the course of his career, winning over audiences with his honky tonk-hewed country hits, such as "Chattahoochee" and "Gone Country."

Track level seating for Alan Jackson will be general admission, while reserved seating will begin in the grandstand. Tickets cost $39 and $49.

Tickets for all three Main Stage shows will go on sale starting at 9 a.m. on Friday, April 7, at the Wisconsin State Fair box office and its website. Two more headliners have yet to be announced, so stay tuned to OnMilwaukee for more updates as they come.

The Wisconsin State Fair will run from Aug. 3 to 13.

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.

When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
