The Bradley Center and the Milwaukee Bucks have reached agreement on a one-year lease extension covering Oct. 1, 2009 through Sept. 30, 2010.

Terms of the lease are substantially the same as last year. The agreement is currently being reviewed by the NBA, and the Bradley Center and Bucks expect to sign it once the league approves it. After that, both parties will begin discussing the future.

In related news, the Bradley Center today announced it will introduce 10, four-seat theater boxes - connected to a new private dining and lounge area - for the 2010-11 season.

Bradley Center President Steve Costello said the theater boxes will be located on the suite level next to Club Cambria and offer a new option for individual fans and businesses seeking a luxury experience at the Bradley Center.

Theater boxes include four plush seats with increased leg room and a prime view of the game. Packages include reserved seating in the adjoining private lounge with beverage service and buffet-style dining; tickets to Milwaukee Bucks and Marquette Golden Eagles games; access for select Admirals games and special events; parking; and more.

Construction on the theater boxes will begin in August, when the Bradley Center is closed for installation of a $3.2 million, state-of-the-art center-hung scoreboard. The theater boxes are expected to be complete by the end of October in time for the Milwaukee Bucks' season home opener.

"We're making some very significant investments in the Bradley Center this summer," Costello said. "We think fans will love what they see when they return to the building this fall."
