OnMilwaukee ventured to the Valley of the Sun with The Big 920 (WOKY) to cover a different side of Brewers Spring Training and find the fun, unique angles – on and off the field in Phoenix – that make the bucket-list trip such a memorable experience for Wisconsin fans. Play ball!

PHOENIX – A trip to Arizona for some fun in the sun with my beloved Brewers has been on my bucket list for a long, long time. And it has not disappointed. Brewers baseball in the desert – and, not to brag, but 80s and sunny doesn't suck, either – is nothing short of what I'd dreamed it would be. As some transplanted Wisconsinites said Wednesday, it's practically "paradise."

This trip has also made me realize how very good we have it in Milwaukee – especially when it comes to our sausage race at Miller Park.

Sure, the fact that we have Klement's sausages representing us is already awesome. But once you watch this sad display of a mascot race at Thursday's Milwaukee vs. San Diego game at the Padres' Peoria Sports Complex, you will understand why we really are so very lucky.

Watch and revel in just how good we have it in the Brew City – plus you can enjoy the live commentary from myself and sports editor Jimmy Carlton, too.

Not exactly the sausage race. #cactuscrew #brewers

Carolynn Buser is one of Milwaukee's loudest and most adamant cheerleaders (don't dare try to disagree). She's the primary voice behind much of OnMilwaukee's social media and content direction, and apologizes in advance if she can be too sarcastic at times.

What else? She's a wine lover, closet trashy novel reader, beauty supplies addict and devourer of cheese (shocker for a Wisconsin born and bred girl, right?). She's also a bit of a foodie, which is a word most of you hate, we know. She works as hard as she plays - and that includes in the gym! So, you've probably seen her at one of the area's newest restaurant openings (and yes, she will share her opinions good or bad) or enjoying a cold one at a local pub.

All in all, Carolynn's a believer in positive thinking and will do her best to smack down your negative ones while writing about her city, her loves, quests and more.
