We're less than 24 hours away from 414 Day, the Milwaukee-est day of the year, spreading cheer across the good land and beyond. (Be sure to leave out cheese curds for Gruber Claus!)

Of course, every day is a great day to go out and celebrate our beloved Brew City – but Friday will be particularly high on local pride, with bars, breweries, restaurants and more getting into the spirit with deals, festivities and overall excuses to hang out with your fellow fabulous Milwaukeeans. And to make sure you make the most out of your Milwaukee Day, here's a list of places with 414 Day discounts, deals, parties and more.

Cheers, Milwaukee! (Or should we say "414, let's have one more!")

Yep, for the most 414-rific 414 Day possible, spin by 414 Milwaukee's headquarters in the Third Ward for their festivities – including free 414 beer while you peruse all of their Brew City swag, a look at their new 414 baseball jersey and copies of local author Jenna Kashou's new book "Milwaukee Scavenger." Before all of that, pop by City Hall at 8 a.m. for a 414 Day flag unfurling with breakfast burritos, coffee, Milwaukee Pro Soccer gear and good MKE vibes.

Matt Mueller Culture Editor

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.

When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
