And here the Minnesota Vikings thought they were going to get all the football headlines today.

Just a few weeks ago, we reported the very important rumor that Green Bay Packers star quarterback Aaron Rodgers was dating soon-to-be-retired race car driver Danica Patrick. We assumed it was pretty dubious, considering Rodgers was just coming off a disappointing season (not to mention his much-publicized relationship with movie star Olivia Munn ending last April), Patrick had just ended her own long-term relationship just weeks before and the source's track record with bad Aaron Rodgers gossip. But today, that rumor became reality, as Patrick confirmed to the Associated Press that she and the two-time NFL MVP are indeed an item.

"Yes, Aaron and I are dating," Patrick told The AP, which led to pandemonium on the internet and saltiness in Chicago Bears country.

Call us when Mitch Trubisky is a part of a sports power couple, guys.

But onto the important question: As you may not know (but would if you read our piece about things you may not know about Danica Patrick), the famed driver was actually born in Beloit; however, her loyalties all lie south of the border in Illinois – including to the Bears. So does dating arguably one of the greatest players in Packers history change anything?

"I told him a long time ago I'd always root for him as a player," Patrick told the AP, explaining that the two first met at the ESPY Awards in 2012. "Now I am probably going to cheer for the whole team. Take out the word 'probably.' Now I'm going to cheer for the whole team."

Oof, mark down another brutal loss for Chicago in the legendary Packers-Bears rivalry.

But yes, the news is official, sending JS Commenters scurrying to their keyboards to begin blaming her for any of the team's upcoming losses and everyone else attempting to come up with the right nickname for this new celebrity power couple. Aarica? Dan-ron? Help us out in the comments.

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.

When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
