Even though he's been yukking it up on screens big and small for almost 30 years, Sandler has often made several return trips to his original comedy home: the stage. And now one of those return trips is headed to Cream City, as this morning, the comedian announced two nights in Milwaukee for "An Evening with Adam Sandler" at the Riverside Theater on April 18-19.

Love him or leave him, there's no denying Adam Sandler is one of the most famous comedy actors working in Hollywood over the past several decades – from his early hits ("Happy Gilmore," "Billy Madison") to his current multi-film Netflix deal (complete with a new collaboration with Chris Rock, "The Week Of," coming out next month) and his occasional dives into drama (most recently, the critically acclaimed "The Meyerowitz Stories (New and Selected)" on Netflix).

But in between those outings, Sandler has also occasionally ventured back to the stage to sample some new material, as well as perform some of his most famous characters and comedy songs – including this newly announced return to the live Milwaukee spotlight.

And, of course, as with most Sandler shindigs, Rob Schneider will be there as well, serving as the evening's special guest.

Tickets for the two 8 p.m. shows will go on sale starting Friday, March 2, at noon. For more information on the show, visit the Riverside's website

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.

When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
