Are you ready for some ranting? A Saturday night party? Because comedian, TV and radio personality, and author Dennis Miller will return to the Riverside Theater on Saturday, May 19. He last performed in Milwaukee in 2013 at the same venue.
Miller's long comedy career has taken him to extraordinary highs, breaking out as a stand-up comedian before stepping into the spotlight behind the Weekend Update desk on "SNL" for the late '80s and early '90s. After that, Miller's star grew, hosting two late-night talk shows, "The Dennis Miller Show" and "Dennis Miller Live" (for which he won five Primetime Emmy Awards) as well as joining the commentary booth on "Monday Night Football." Since then, Miller's continued to work across multiple platforms, from radio shows to TV appearances to books and, of course, stand-up comedy tours.
Tickets for the 8 p.m. show will go on sale beginning Friday, Jan. 26, at noon. For more information on the show and tickets, visit the Riverside's website.
As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.
When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
