Summerfest announced this morning the latest addition to its American Family Insurance Amphitheater headline lineup: country star Dierks Bentley, with special guests Cole Swindell and Jon Pari, on Friday, July 7.
The announcement comes hot off the heels of Bentley co-hosting the Academy of Country Music Awards alongside fellow country Big Gig headliner, Luke Bryan. Back in 2004, Bentley won at the ACMs, claiming the title of Top New Artist coming off his self-titled debut.
Since then, he's racked up 15 number one singles, 13 Grammy nominations – most recently this past year scoring one alongside Elle King for Best Country Duo/Group Performance for "Different for Girls" – and eight studio albums, including his latest, "Black," released last year.
Tickets for the show – as always, complete with Summerfest admission – will go on sale starting at 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 13. Tickets can be purchased in person at the Summerfest box office, Ticketmaster ticket centers and Walmart stores, as well as online at Ticketmaster.com and over the phone through either the Summerfest box office, (414) 273-2600, a live Ticketmaster agent, (800) 745-3000, or Ticketmaster's automated ticket line, (866) 448-7849.
The Big Gig will also run its usual presale for fans who subscribe to Summerfest's email updates and alerts, as well as follow the festival on Facebook and Twitter. The presale will take place on Wednesday, April 12 from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. or until the allotted presale inventory has run out.
Today's announcement leaves only three more American Family Insurance Amphitheater slots left to be filled for Summerfest's 50th anniversary. We've made our guesses, but who will join Pink, Tom Petty, the Chainsmokers, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Luke Bryan and Zac Brown Band on the Amp stage? And who will hit the grounds stages?
