When Wisconsin’s alcohol regulations changed at the stroke of Gov. Tony Evers’ pen last December, a number of wineries and breweries and distilleries began to alter their offerings.

Because one of those rules changes has allowed brewery taprooms to now sell wine and spirits – instead of just their beer and other Wisconsin craft brews – Eagle Park Brewing and Distilling Company can now sell the spirits its makes at its Muskego distillery in its Hamilton Street taproom in Milwaukee.

Eagle Park, which opened in 2017 and soon moved to a former garage at 823 E. Hamilton St. near Brady Street, opened its Muskego brewery and distillery in 2020.

Its spirits, however, could not, by law, be sold at the Hamilton Street taproom, because they were not made there. Until the law changed, that is.

Now, Eagle Park will sell its spirits – vodka, whiskey, gin and more – in its Brady Street neighborhood home, alongside craft beer. Plus, a selection of wines will be available, as will a seasonally rotating cocktail menu built from the Eagle Park spirits.

The EP spirits will also be available for sale in bottles to take home.

“We’re proud of our comprehensive spirits program and how that side of the Eagle Park business has grown over the years,” said Jake Schinker, oo-owner of Eagle Park Brewing.

“With new state regulations, we’re thrilled to welcome spirits-enthusiasts into the Hamilton taproom. We love the communal experience of our taproom, so whether it is a craft beer, cocktail, or a bite to eat, we want people to come in and enjoy everything Eagle Park has to offer.”
