Recently, Kloiber Jewelers joined the ShopLocal marketplace, and since it's Valentine's Day week I thought you might be interested a few of this 90-year-old Milwaukee retailers wares.

Yep, Kloiber Jewelers has been in Downtown Milwaukee for nine decades, since 1926.  Currently in the U.S. Bank Center's galleria level, it's had a few homes in Downtown and two owners. The current owner, Karin Volz, inherited the business from the founder.  In the back of the store there's a photo of Mr. Kloiber. The plaque below it showcases the old-school Milwaukee history noting it was "photographed by Robert W. Baird."  Yep, that Robert W. Baird.

Kloiber, like many jewelers, buys pieces from around the world but also does custom work and home and office visits.  And, now, you buy online or stop in.  And, if you stop in, you also have check out the new DK Kitchen right around the corner.  It's great, and truly a new, modern concept for dining in a big office tower.
